Obituary For Sharon Ann Ondracek

Sharon Ann Ondracek, 76, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on June 9, 1943 in Stanton County, NE the daughter of Jaroslav "Jerry" and Lucille Jane (Butterfield) Ondracek, who preceded her in death.

In 1951 she moved with her parents from Nebraska to Green Ridge, MO and then to Mora, MO where they held residence for a short time. The remainder of Sharon's education was in Cole Camp, MO. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith on April 17, 1957, prior to her 8th grade graduation from Trinity Lutheran School. She played softball and volleyball for Cole Camp High School and graduated in 1961.

Sharon purchased her first home in 1975, but moved back to her parents former home in 2009. She worked for Lamy Manufacturing, Town and Country Shoes and Pip Printing. She retired from Interstate Studios, Sedalia after 27 years. When she lived in Sedalia she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Sharon enjoyed singing in the church choir for 30 years. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and a Charter member of the 40 & 8 Veterans group-Dames/Ladies.

Sharon was an avid photographer, she got her first camera from her Uncle Otto. She won many ribbons and awards for her photography. She was a member of the Cole Camp Photo Club and the Sedalia Photo Club. Sharon loved to travel and has been to almost every state in the union. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed bowling at Broadway Lanes and Red Apple Lanes. She competed in three national bowling tournaments in Tucson, AZ, Miami, FL and Seattle, WA.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister at infancy.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, July 5, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sedalia with Pastor Andrew Tessone officiating.

Family will receive friends from one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Jason Veale, Arvid Monson, and Walt Moser.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Savior Lutheran Church Radio Ministry in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
