Obituary For Romualda A. McCannon

Romualda A. McCannon, 68, of Sedalia, MO passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her home. She was born on February 7, 1950 in Carcar Cebu, Philippines, the daughter of Filomeno R. Alegarbes, Sr. and Angela Dawis Mamaril, who preceded her in death.

On September 13, 1997 at Hickory Hills Baptist Church near Warrensburg, MO she was united in marriage to James O. McCannon, who survives of the home.

Romualda was a very loving and caring person. She enjoyed traveling with her husband through the eight states that surround Missouri. She was an especially good cook. She enjoyed baking and giving away cookies that she called "Angel Wings." She worked for Tyson for fourteen years. She attended Broadway Baptist Church and love the church very much.

Besides her husband of 21 years, she is survived by her siblings Leticia Alegarbes of Cebu City, Philippines, Filomeno M. Alegarbes, Jr. (Imelda) of Sedalia and Aquilina Alegarbes also of Sedalia; mother-in-law, Geneva McCannon of Sedalia; sister-in-law, Linda Jennings (Vic) of Rich Hill, MO; nephew, Lyle Jennings (Tina) of Butler, MO; niece, Misty Gach (Chris) of Adrian, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives in the United States and the Philippines.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlos Alegarbes and sister, Bernardita M. Destin Alegarbes.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Broadway Baptist Church, Sedalia, MO with Dr. Nick Gray, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Broadway Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
