Obituary For Robert Earl Berryman

Robert Earl Berryman was born at home in Marshall, MO on September 16, 1932, to Robert Leslie and Julia Lucinda Banks Berryman. He attended schools in the Marshall area and graduated from Marshall High School in 1950. As a youngster, Bob detasseled corn for the MFA Seed Division for several summers and delivered The Kansas City Star during the winters. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953 and served his country in Korea in 1953 and 1954. Upon honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to Missouri and began working at Western Electric in the late 50's, mostly in the Kansas City area, retiring in 1991.

Bob purchased a farm ten miles southeast of Cole Camp in the early 90's. He married Eileen Marshall in 2002, sold the farm in 2003, and they made their home in Cole Camp.

Bob was a kindhearted, soft spoken, gentle man. He attended First Baptist Church in Cole Camp.

Mr. Berryman died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ruth Ann at infancy; sister Betty Lou DeLuce in 2014; and brother-in-law Robert DeLuce in 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen of Cole Camp; stepdaughters, Brenda Wickett (Robert) of New Virginia, IA and Sheryl Marshall of Leon, IA; four step grandchildren, and their families; two nephews, Robert and Leslie DeLuce; and one niece, Kimberly Purtle.
