Obituary For Merry Louise Schlobohm

Merry Louise Schlobohm, 58, of La Monte, MO passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at her home. She was born on June 19, 1961 in Indepencence, MO the daughter of James R. Hawkins, Sr. and Norma L. (Scott) Fisher, who preceded her in death.

On November 17, 1985 in Green Ridge, MO she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles "Charlie" Schlobohm, who survives of the home.

Merry was a 1981 graduate of Smithton High School. While she was in high school she worked at Smithton Cafe and The Children Workshop, Sedalia. She also studied nursing for a while, until she realized she couldn't handle the sight of blood. She was a member of Grace and Glory Chapel and loved attending Abundant Harvest Church with her daughter. There was never a stranger to her, she loved people and was always happy and ready to give you a hug. She loved to fish, dance, garden, play games, sit at the kitchen table watching birds at the bird feeder, and watch the St. Louis Cardinals play. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Merry also liked to help her husband Charlie mow yards and loved going to church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Merri E. Plue (David) of Sedalia; son, Charles M. Schlobohm of La Monte; two grandsons, Aaron J. Plue (Katlin) of Georgia, Connor D. Plue of New York; two great grandsons, Daniel J. Plue and Kai Anthony Plue, both of Georgia; and three brothers, Jimmy Hawkins of Warsaw, Allen Hawkins of Sedalia, and Danny Hawkins of Sedalia.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Pastor David Beck officiating. Merry requests for friends and family that are attending services, to wear bright colors only, No black!

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Rabourn Cemetery, La Monte, MO.

Pallbearers will be Charles Schlobohm, David Plue, Jim Sudduth, Nick Azar, Richard Schlobohm and Robert Comfort.

Honorary bearers will be Danny Hawkins, Allen Hawkins, Lisa Jones, Pat Groshans, Melody Schlobohm and Norman Schlobohm.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
