Marjorie Nadene DeVorss, 83, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. She was born on February 28, 1935 in Limon, CO the daughter of Oliver and Blanch (Wilson) Hall, who preceded her in death.
On August 16, 1953 in Colorado, she was united in marriage to Jack Delano DeVorss, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2013.
Nadene was a homemaker. She did the book keeping for the family business, Jack's Backhoe Service, for many years. She was a member of the Country Bumkin Square Dancing Club. Nadene enjoyed sewing, cooking, going camping and especially loved going square dancing with her husband Jack. Her greatest joy was being a mom and grandma.
Nadene is survived by her children, Roy DeVorss (Lonnie) of Smithton, Joyce Richardson (Butch Edward) of Smithton, and Alan DeVorss of Sedalia; two sisters, Leta Kelley of Arizona and Jeanie DeVorss of Colorado; five grandchildren, Daniel DeVorss, Casey DeVorss, Austin DeVorss, Joshua Baker and Nichole Mittenburg; and six great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol DeVorss; two brothers, Gerald Hall and Donald Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill McDowell, officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the chapel.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Daniel DeVorss, Casey DeVorss, Austin DeVorss, Butch Edwards, Oscar DeVorss, and Frank Mittenburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
