Obituary For Linda Kay Young
Linda Kay Young, 68, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born on January 23, 1951 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of William and Ada (Shinn) Arvieux, who preceded her in death.
On October 3, 1980 in Sedalia, MO. she was united in marriage to Paul (Paulie) H. Young, who resides in the home.
Linda loved going every year to the Amish greenhouse in Windsor to purchase potted plants and baskets to put out on her porch. It was a priority that her yard was full of flowers every spring and summer. She also loved going to the Missouri State Fair every year and enjoyed country music concerts for many years. Linda especially loved baking holiday cookies and candies for her family. Linda always wanted to look her best. She never left her home without having her hair and makeup done.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sisters, Sharon Blankenship and Sandra Robertson and husband Rick; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Wissman and her husband Dan and Kim Anderson and her husband Brett all of Sedalia; and her special cousins, Eddie and Yvonne Shinn, Richard and Evelene Shinn all of Warsaw, MO, and Barbara Nottmeier of Emma, MO.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Cecil P. and Lena M. Young; and a brother-in-law, Jesse Blankenship.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Crown Hill, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Dan Wissman, Derrick Wissman, Danny Wissman, Rick Robertson, Brett Anderson, and Jimmy Parker.
Honorary bearers will be Richard Shinn, Eddie Shinn, Jerry Parker, Scott Hudson, Allen Skiles, and Sam Fuller.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
