Obituary For Leallan Charles Erfurth

Leallan Charles Erfurth, 57, of Smithton passed away February 29, 2020 at his home. He was born on August 17, 1962 in Sedalia, the son of Paul Charles Erfurth and Anna Lorraine Moore Erfurth who preceded him in death.

On November 29, 1991 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Colbert, who resides in the home.

Leallan worked for Duke Manufacturing as a welder for 22 years. He was a member of the Sedalia American Legion Post #642. Leallan enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, being a farmer and especially loved hanging out with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jade Chapman (Matt) of Smithton; a granddaughter, Piper Chapman; a brother, Bob Erfurth of Smithton; two sisters, Marylynn Sommerer of Oak Grove, MO, and Susie Comstock of Sedalia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Carwile and a brother, Jimmijoe Erfurth

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m following services at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
