Kenneth Paul Mosby

Kenneth Paul Mosby, 86 of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1932 in Sedalia, the son of George and Wilma (Mahnken) Mosby, who preceded him in death.

On July 17, 1950 in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Bettie Juanita (Neitzert), who preceded him in death.

He enjoyed word search puzzles, small-town country shows, his beloved dachshunds Happy, Garfield, and Olive, and visiting with his buddies on the Sedalia Fire Department. His dachshunds, Happy, Garfield, and Olive were a source of comfort following the death of his wife. And as always, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Two special friends, Mark Barnes and Bob Mann faithfully called each week to visit. Those phone calls meant so much to him.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Kay Cline (Steven) Boonville, MO, Carol Lee Downing (James) of El Reno, OK, Janet Diane Gertz (Daniel) of Sedalia, and Janice Renee Hoover (Harry) of Sedalia; sister, Carolyn Yancey of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Amy Adam (Michael), Christopher Cline (Sara), John Cline (Sarah), Stephanie Dominique (Van); Matthew Downing (Mandy), Brian Downing (Jennifer), Bradley Downing (Tanya); Michael Gertz (Stacey), Marissa Gertz; Jason Hoover (Daisy); great grandchildren, Allison Cline, Austin Cline, Charles Adam, Emmy Cline, Benjamin Adam, Sofia Cline, Baylee Dominique, Cora Cline and Sadie Dominique; Jillian Milligan, Addyson Downing, Kyler Downing, Kaylee Downing, Drew Downing, Eli Downing, Gavin Thornbrue, Kimberly Downing, Haley Downing, Elijah Gertz, Ariya Gertz, Macey Hoover, Breana Hoover, Joshua Hoover, Jordan Hoover, Vanessa Dixon, and Tiffani Dixon; brother-in-law, Donald Prall of Buckner, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Wade Downing.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Cathy Jurgens, officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO with Bell Service conducted by the Sedalia Fire Department.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Christopher Cline, John Cline, Matthew Downing, Brian Downing, Bradley Downing, Michael Gertz and Jason Hoover.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Amy Adam, Stephanie Dominique and Marissa Gertz.

Additional honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sedalia Fire Department
