Obituary For John E. Blaylock

John Edgar Blaylock, 80, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on May 1, 1938 in Beaman, MO, the son of Harold Edgar and Mary Susan (Rhoads) Blaylock, who preceded him in death.

On January 29, 1964 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Clara Faye Tucker, who survives of the home.

Besides his wife of fifty-four years, he is survived by his two children, John W. Blaylock of Sedalia and Josh Blaylock of Taft, CA; sister Alice Bruehl (Albert) of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Heather, Megan, Lauren, Dustin, Brice, and Joshua; and four great-grandchildren, Shayla, Shyra, Dayton, and Lucas; step-great-grandchild Dylan; and many extended family and friends.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother George Ronnie Blaylock.

John enjoyed antique tractor pulling, steam engine shows, and caring for his farm. He worked for the MFA Exchange for nearly thirty years. He loved spending time with his son John. They would frequently attend auctions and other sales. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins, officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
