Obituary For Jeffery George Morgan

Jeffery George Morgan, 55, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 30, 1963 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Phil and Richie (George) Morgan, who preceded him in death.

Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. After graduating, he opened Big J's Arcade in Sedalia and attended Central Missouri State University, receiving his Associates Degree in business. Jeff worked as a Sheriffs Deputy for Pettis County Sheriff's Department and later for Camden County Sheriff's Department, retiring as a Sergeant. After retiring, Jeff started running the family business, Gene's Boots & Hats. Jeff was a proclaimed Methodist and was a former member of the Linn Creek Masonic Lodge #152 and Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club where he served as President.

Jeff enjoyed being at home with his family and his pets, Kira and Harvey. He loved remodeling his home and spending time around the pool with his family. Jeff was an avid Chiefs fan and liked to travel in his RV when he was able.

He is survived by a son, Kyle Bean and fiance, Kristina Marcum of Sedalia; his grandmother, Barbara George of Sedalia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Optimist Club Respect for Law Fund.

Following in his parents footstep, it was Jeff's wish not to have any services held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

    Much shortage of good friends like you, Jeffrey. So much to be said but time has stopped it all. No lunch in K.C. as we'd planned and an end to our visits but I'll have memories to cherish thanks to you. R.I.P. and Godspeed my good friend. Already missing you....
