Obituary For Hazel Richardson

Hazel (Potter) Richardson, 95, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on July 2, 1923 in Concord, MO, the daughter of John and Babe (Terrell) Sanders, fostered by Ben and Ora Potter, who all preceded her in death.

On June 14, 1942 in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to William Richardson, who preceded her in death on November 13, 1987.

Hazel was a 1941 graduate of Smithton High School. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sedalia, where she was active in the Jolly Elders and Guys and Gals. Hazel was a Helping Hands volunteer and enjoyed playing cards with her card groups, bowling, sewing and singing.

Hazel is survived by a daughter Debbie Kidwell (Gary) of Sedalia; a sister, Nina Waldrop of Meterie, LA; a granddaughter, Meagan Kidwell Lewis (Rick); and a great grandson, Avery Schmidt.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the graveside from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Avery Schmidt, Rick Lewis, Gary Kidwell, Jr., Mark Elliott, Bob Norton, and Jim Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
