Obituary For Harriet Melvina Meyer

Harriet Melvina Meyer, 85, of Hughesville, MO, passed away Monday March 18, 2019 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born on April 9, 1933 in Rolla, Missouri the daughter of Charles E. and Anna Funke Horn, who preceded her in death.

On September 4, 1949 in Sedalia, MO. she was united in marriage to Harry Doyle Meyer, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1997.

Harriet loved to cook and sew. She also enjoyed reading her bible and spending time with her family.

Survivors include four children, Cindy A. Clark (Gary) of Hughesville, Alan D. Meyer (Sally) of Hughesville, MO, Amanda G. Boyd of Hughesville, MO, and Robert K. Meyer (Delores) of Sedalia; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Joni Meyer; a great granddaughter Brianna Clark; two sisters, Mildred Brownfield and Sandra Nicholson; and a brother, Vernon Horn.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Hughesville Baptist Church with Alan D. Meyer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Burial will be at Highpoint Cemetery, Hughesville.

Pallbearers will be Charles Clark, Ryan Clark, Dustin Meyer, Kevin Clark, Blake Meyer, Garret Boyd, and Sean Clark.

Honorary bearers will be grandchildren, great grandchildren, and Betty Bowman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hughesville Baptist Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
