Obituary For Dr. Thomas E. Howe

Dr. Thomas E. Howe, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO. He was born on September 30, 1935 in Houston, TX, a son of Homer H. and Ethel E. (Daniel) Howe, who preceded him in death.

On January 23, 1959, in Kansas City, MO, he was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Dickson, who preceded him in death on November 22, 2010.

Tom was a member of First United Methodist Church. He attended one year of college at L.S.U in Baton Rouge, LA, where he was named outstanding Air Force Cadet. He also attended two years at the University of Tulsa. Tom graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry in 1960. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force Dental Corp from 1960 until 1963 when he moved to Sedalia and started his dental practice, retiring in 2005.

Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising cattle, and spending time with his family at the lake home. He greatly enjoyed watching T.V. shows, ie. Big Bang Theory, Gunsmoke, and Life Below Zero.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Lynn Siron (Chuck) of Sedalia; a son, David Wayne Howe (Susie) of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Ryan, Josh, Jacob, and Adam; a brother, Arthur G. Howe (Judy) of Lumberton, TX.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Ann Howe.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Downing, Jr. officiating.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens with full military honors conducted by Whiteman Air Force Honor Guard and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Pallbearers will be Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or to E.W. Thompson Rehabilitation Center.

    A good guy/Dentist /friend who came out on a Sunday afternoon in 1964 to fix me. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.
