Dean L. Rupe

Dean L. Rupe, 60, of Ionia passed away April 24, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 3, 1957 in Holdridge, NE the son of Dale and Vilda Eileen (Puls) Rupe, who preceded him in death.

On August 29, 1981 in Ionia he was united in marriage to Julie Petersen, who resides of the home.

Dean was a life long cattle farmer in the Ionia area. He worked at Gardner Denver in Sedalia for 20 years. Dean enjoyed being outdoors playing with (Harry) his dog, watching racing and tractor pulling on T.V. He especially loved spending quality time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Julie, he is survived by two children, Shannon DeMoss (Nick) Warrensburg and Brandon Rupe (Whitney) of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Colton DeMoss, Kennedy DeMoss, and Brinlee Rupe; two sisters, Twila Wolf and Ihlia Weno (Jim) all of Windsor; three brothers, Carl Rupe of Sedalia, Bob Rupe (Peggy) of Florence, and Dick Rupe (Carolyn) of Green Ridge.

A celebration of life gathering for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
