Darlene Lucille Shoemaker

Darlene Lucille Shoemaker, 79, of Sedalia passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO. She was born on February 29, 1940 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of Lewis Claude and Grace Mae (Keele) Shoemaker, who preceded her in death.

Darlene was a member of Parkview Christian Church. She worked at Sierra Bullets in Sedalia, Wal-Mart in Sedalia, and at the Ewing Vocational Center for 21, years. She enjoyed doing cross word puzzles and word searches. Darlene loved watching Walker Texas Ranger and Wheel of Fortune. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son, John Thomas (Charlie) Shoemaker and his wife (Joy) of Sedalia; two daughters, Diane Lynn Jones of Hannibal, MO and June Marie Shoemaker of Windsor, MO; five grandchildren, Chris Dave Laurence Gerilla, Amanda Marie Herrick, Ashley Lynn Kanak, Angela Marie Jones, and Tammy Burlene Jones; a brother, Glenn Dean Shoemaker, Sr. of Sedalia; and five nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Lee Shoemaker.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Parkview Christian Church with Pastor Rodney Brown officiating.

Honorary bearers will be Jason Reno, Greg Coufal, Casey Parker, Mark Kanak, Ivan Dale Laster, and Anthony Mitchell.
