Obituary For Carol Lea Hall

Carol Lea Hall, 70, of Sedalia, MO passed away February 23, 2019 at her home. She was born on June 1, 1948 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of Joe and Lorriane (Dedrick) Pummill, who preceded her in death.

On May 2, 1970 in Lexington, MO she was united in marriage to Leonard Lee Hall, who resides of the home.

Carol was a 1967 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She graduated from the Sedalia School of Hair Dressing in 1969 and started working as a hairdresser. She was member of the Sedalia Pettis County EMA and First United Methodist Church, Sedalia where she was very active in various groups, especially the Care Ministry. Carol enjoyed doing volunteer work for the community. She volunteered for Division of Family Services, The Mayor's Santa Claus Fund and the Dream Factory. In 1985, Carol helped organize and set up the first CASA safe house in Sedalia and received proclamation for "Domestic Violence Awareness". Following in 1988 she was named Citizen of the year and put in over 2000 hours with DFS. Carol was given a great honor from the State of Missouri in 1990, when she was named Volunteer of the Year.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, James W. Hall and John L. Hall both of Sedalia; a daughter, Becky Hall of the home; a granddaughter, Hailee Hall of Sedalia; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Raines; and a sister, Janice Fethke.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the First United Methodist Celebration Center, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Jim Downing officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Celebration Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church Care Ministry, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
