Obituary For Carmie Jane Easter

Carmie Jane Easter, 86, of Green Ridge, MO passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, MO. She was born on November 22, 1932 in Carroll County, AR the daughter of Norman and Mollie (Simms) Deweese, who preceded her in death.

On April 10, 1955 in Rule, AR she was united in marriage to Wilber Davis Easter, who preceded her in death on August 13, 2014.

Carmie was a devout Christian and a long time member of Green Ridge Baptist Church. In her younger years, she loved gardening, being involved in her church, cooking, and being an integral part of the family farm. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Survivors include a son, Patrick Easter and wife Cara of Green Ridge; two grandchildren, Colton and Mollie Jo Easter; a sister, Margaret Locke of Green Forest, AR; three nephews, Johnny Gordon (Linda), Tony Gordon (Lana) and Richard Gordon (Lesa); four nieces, Linda Skinner (David), Lisa Krumwiede (Ken), Carolyn Jett (Dean) and Helen LeFevers (Frank); and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Deweese.

A private graveside service and burial will be held at Green Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Larry Hill officiating.

Pallbearers will be Colton Easter, Johnny Gordon, Tony Gordon and Richard Gordon.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

    Patrick, sorry for the loss of your mom, our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Carmie was a true friend to mom, after Wilber passed they spent a lot of days, evenings, sleep overs together.
