Lowell Edwin Parvin, 69, of Stover passed away May 15, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on November 26, 1945 at Kansas City, Missouri the son of Joel Henry Parvin Sr. and Mable Virginia Hoover, who preceded in death.
He worked as an employee for General Services Administration in Kansas City, MO and worked as a custodian at several federal facilities in downtown Kansas City, MO. After retirement he relocated to Ivy Bend, MO; He was a 1963 graduate of Raytown South High School. Lowell enjoyed keeping up with Raytown South High School Basketball. Lowell loved animals of all kinds with his favorite being his pit bull dog Bruno. He was an avid KC Royals, Chiefs and Missouri Tigers fan. He was drafted in 1967 and served his country honorably in the US. Army.
He is survived by a brother Joel Parvin, Jr. of Overland Park, KS and a sister, Glenda Howard (Jerry) Kansas City, MO; three nieces Edwina Smith (Tim) Lee’s Summit, Teresa Poirer (Bryan) of Castle Rock, CO and Elizabeth Lee (Warren) of Marietta, GA; two nephews, Calep Howard (Jill) of Overland Park, KS and Rob Parvin (Dawn) of Lansing, KS. His adopted family Doddie Boss of the home, adopted grandsons, Jon Morris, Timothy Morris and Wylliam Deveney and adopted great grandchildren, Alisha, Alex, Caitlin, Hannah, and Meagan.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two adopted great grandchildren, Hannah and Brayden.
A celebration of life gathering of friends and family will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Following the services burial of the ashes will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Stover, Missouri.
Urn bearer will be Joel Parvin, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Assembly of God food bank, Stover in care of the Rea Funeral Chapel.
