Loretta Baessler

img157Loretta Marie Baessler, 81, of Sedalia, MO passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, MO.  She was born on July 15, 1936 in Pettis County, MO the daughter of Edward F. and Agnes M. (Young) Miller, who preceded her in death.

She attended school in Georgetown and Sedalia. Loretta loved playing cards, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. She worked for the Pettis County Assessors office and for many years as the vital records clerk for the Pettis County Health Department. After retiring in 2000, she worked for Sedalia #200 school district as a “cafeteria grandma”. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Sedalia First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son Paul Baessler of Rochester, MN, daughter Cynthia Reser (Joseph) of Lincoln, MO, sister Laura Ann Griffin of Sedalia, three brothers Thomas Miller (Carolyn) of Green Ridge, David Miller (Alyce), and Dwight Miller all of Sedalia, five grandchildren, Jonathan Reser (Hannah), Erin Reser, Ashton Ringen (Shane), Reed Baessler, and Cole Baessler; five great grandchildren; five nephews and two nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Duzan, and two beloved nephews, Steve Emory and Mike Miller.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Pastor Jim Downing, officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Community Care Center Guild Fund in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
