Lavina Ann (Cornine) Neale, 79, of Fayetteville, AR, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on October 17, 1936 in Sedalia, the daughter of John and Ida (Mullins) Cornine, who preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Kay Story, who preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage to Charles Neale, who also preceded her in death.
Lavina was a 1954 graduate of Houstonia High School and attended the University of Southern California where she earned her certificate in Business Management. She later graduated from University of Arkansas where she received her Masters Degree in Horticulture. She loved gardening and the last few years she worked as a real estate agent.
Survivors include three children, Debrorah Wasserman (Paul) of Camarillo, CA, Bill Story of Rogers, AR and Wayne Neale (Janine) of Dove Canyon, CA; four grandchlildren, Jesse, Cadence, Brooke and Race; two sisters, Connie Bellis of Paso Robles, CA and Darlene Pepper of Columbia, MO; and a brother, Delmar Cornine of Houstonia, MO.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Janie Mercer, Mable Walker and Lona Courtney;and two brothers, J.R. “Jake” Cornine and John J. “June” Cornine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be Berea Cemetery in Nelson, MO.
Pallbearers will be Eric Cornine, Patrick Cornine, Jamie Cornine, Curtis Cornine, Shawn Schell, and Paul Wasserman .
Honorary bearers will be Jim Cornine, Rick Cornine, Tim Cornine, Mike Cornine, and Gene Cornine.
Memorial contributions may be made to Berea Cemetery Fund in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
