Kacee McGinnis

Obit PicKacee Renay McGinnis, 8, of Bates City, MO passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 along with her mom Alicia (Hutchins) McGinnis as a result of an auto accident on W. 50 highway near Kingsville, MO.  She was born on July 16, 2008 in Blue Springs, Missouri the daughter of  Larry G. McGinnis, who survives of the home.

Kacee was in the 3rd grade at Oak Grove Elementary School. She loved to be home and was known to be a “home body”. She loved watching movies, playing games on her cellphone, riding horses, dancing, singing, drawing and taking “selfies”.

Besides her dad Larry, she is also survived by two sisters Savannah McGinnis of the home and Alisha (McGinnis) Pichinevsky (David) of Sedalia; two brothers, Justin McGinnis of Sedalia and Larry McGinnis II (Miranda) of Sedalia; Paternal grandmother, Marie McGinnis of Sedalia; Maternal grandparents, Diane and Jack Harvkey of Blairstown, MO; Maternal grandfather, Larry Hutchins; one uncle, Chuck McGinnis of Sedalia; four aunts, Kim Cox (Larry), Lori Mojica (Fernando), Nicole Reynolds (Daniel), and Katherine Harrison (Joseph); eleven cousins, Brooklyn, Holden, Carmen, Lexie, Quincy, Javier, Santiago, Shawn, Kara, Makenzie, and Maddox; a nephew Jacob McGinnis of Sedalia; and two nieces Bristin McGinnis of Sedalia and Alivia McGinnis of Sedalia.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles E. McGinnis, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Albert Oetman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Justin McGinnis, Larry McGinnis, David Pichinevsky, Alisha Pichinevsky, Miranda Marshall, and Savannah McGinnis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
