Henry Leroy Twyman, 77, of Sedalia passed away December 28, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on June 16, 1938 in Florence, MO the son of Henry Evert Twyman and Zola Viola Sanders, who preceded him in death.
On June 16, 1958 in Florence, MO he was united in marriage to Neoma J. Phillips, who preceded him in death on November 9, 1999. On June 30, 1965, he was united in marriage to Lucy Mae Johnson, who survives of the home.
Henry was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sedalia. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Howard Construction, Ryder Trucking Company and Ditzfeld Transfer for over 20 years, retiring in 2007. Henry enjoyed fishing, bird watching, NASCAR, doing paint by number paintings and playing cards.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Patty Abney (Dan) and Samantha Twyman all of Sedalia; one sister, Jean Pummill of Sedalia; two brothers, Bobby Twyman (Vickey) of Versailles, MO and Ted Twyman (Sharon) of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Christina, Kevin, Robert, and Leslie; three great grandsons, Luke, Jackson, and Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Leroy Twyman; a sister, Dora Lee Phillips; three brothers, Donald, Norman, and Johnnie Twyman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Andrew Tessone officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Dan Abney, Robert Abney, Kevin Edwards, Johnnie Twyman, Justin Twyman and Frank Diefendorf.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
