Donna North

img714Donna Mae North, 62, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her home. She was born October 31, 1955 in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Chester Kenneth Schumaker and Wilma Maxine (Esterline) Schumaker, who reside in Sedalia.
On June 6, 1974 she was united in marriage to Claude Eugene “Gene” North, who survives of the home.
Donna graduated from Smith-Cotton High School. She worked outside the home at various times, in places such as Community Bank as a teller and Sedalia School District as an interpreter for the deaf. Her most recent employment was Healthy Habits in Sedalia, MO. Donna also participated in Premier Designs for the last 10 years.
She enjoyed traveling, singing at church, and was an active member of the worship team. Often, Donna taught Sunday school and enjoyed teaching children about Jesus. Her most recent church family was Antioch Fellowship in Sedalia, MO.
Donna loved spending time with her family and celebrating everyone’s birthday. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed having them help her with gardening, planting flowers and yard work. She loved plants and the outdoors.
Besides her husband, survivors include a brother Larry Schumaker (Mary) of Sedalia; a sister, Linda Best (Darrell) of Springfield; her three children, Jeremy North (Wendy) of Sedalia, Chad North (Dana) of Sedalia and Jamie List (Nate) of Warrensburg; ten grandchildren, Zachary Lee, Kaiden North, Max Smith, Brody Von Moss, Jac North, Lyndon North, Maecy North, Bryce North, Sidnee City and Cecilia List.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Antioch Fellowship Church with Pastor Steve Graff officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the church.
Pallbearers will be Kaiden North, Lyndon North, Larry Schumaker, II, Tim Keele, Jason Best, and Kevin Best.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care Antioch Fellowship Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
