Donald Castiglia

Donald Drew Castiglia, 62, of Nelson, MO passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at The Living Center, Marshall, MO. He was born in Sioux City, IA on January 13, 1953, a son of Jack and Ruth (Groner) Castiglia, who preceded him in death.

On December 23, 1972 in Florence, MO he was united in marriage to Julia Maye Castiglia, who survives of the home.

He worked for 23 years at Maxion Wheels, before he retired due to his health in June of 2014. He worked in many different areas at Maxion, with his most recent job as a changeover machine operator. He was passionate about his small farm where he and his wife have cattle, goats, chickens and peafowl. Donald also was an antique car and truck enthusiast. Around town, he was known for his balloon art. You would find him making balloon hats and animals at picnics, restaurants, companies and just for fun everywhere he went. He would say about his balloons, “Like MasterCard, I don’t leave home without them!” He had a passion for people and enjoyed taking communion over to retirement homes for the residence.
