Donald Arnold, 61, of Houstonia, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his home in Houstonia, with Crossroads Hospice services. He was born on March 16, 1955, in Sedalia, a son of Joseph Arnold, Jr. and Esther Schaumberg, who preceded him in death.
On February 14, 1975, in Houstonia, he was united in marriage to Reeca Tuggle, who survives of the home.
He enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing, yard work, and spending time with his family. He was a Christian and knew his Lord and Savior.
Besides his wife, Reeca, Donald is survived by two sons, Jared Arnold (Shela), of Houstonia, and Eric Arnold, of Houstonia; two daughters, Allison Johnson (Rick), of Houstonia, and Hope Arnold, of Warrensburg; three brothers, Larry Arnold (Nancy) and Denny Arnold (Brenda), of Sedalia, and Ron Arnold (Linda), of Green Ridge; two sisters, Joanne Theirfelder (Sonny), of Sedalia, and Florence Bird (Richard), of Sedalia; and ten grandchildren, Trevor, Quinton, Keaton, Makaylinn, Auston, Devon, Brady, Taylar, Makayla, and Emma.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Velma Gottschalk, a sister, Barbara Sanders, and a brother, Robert “Buck” Arnold.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the family, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will be making a donation to the local Prairie Ridge 4H Club, and Cancer Perks, a local non-profit founded by Whitney Cromley.
