Chris Albert “Butch” Woolery, 72, of Sedalia passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 21, 1944 in Kansas City, MO the son of Chris Charles and Mary L. (Butterbaugh) Woolery, who preceded him in death.
On April 25, 1964 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Sherry E. Welton, who survives of the home.
Chris was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Sedalia. He worked for MFA Transportation as a truck driver. He currently owned and operated Woolery Rentals for the past 23years. Chris enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his family and friends outdoors sitting on his front porch.
Besides his wife Sherry, he is also survived by a daughter, Kimberly Carlos (Juan) of Sedalia and a son, Chris J. Woolery (Carol) of Smithton; six grandchildren, Chassitey, Barbara, Jeffrey, Christopher, David and Ryan; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Woolery (Penney) of Sedalia; two sisters, Marjorie VanBooven and Susan McNeal both of Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Chaplin Bill Douglas, officiating.
A family visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 13, 2016 at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia..
Pallbearers will be Juan Carlos, Jeffrey Dunn, Wayne Cochran, Christopher Woolery, David Woolery and Ryan Woolery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Roads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
