Alicia Cardenas, 49, of LaMonte passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was born on June 23, 1966 in Puruandiro, Mexico the daughter of Rodrigo Cardenas, who survives in LaMonte, MO and Lucia Martinez, who preceded her in death.
Alicia loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved by many people. She loved to help people out and really enjoyed life with her son and daughter. She was always smiling and in a great mood. She was such a strong lady of good faith who cared a lot for her family.
Besides her father she is survived by a daughter, Jackeline Rodriguez, of LaMonte; a son Rodrigo Rodriguez and his wife Ruby of Sedalia; five brothers and three sisters; three grandchildren, Antonio, Belen, and Destiny.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Geofery Brooks officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with a Rosary being conducted at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Ivan Aguilar, Silvestre Aguilar, Jose Cardenas, Jovan Cardenas, Manuel Cisneros, Martin Jr. Cisneros, and Cesar Marin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Rea Funeral Chapel.
